Full-frame vs. insert — what's right for your house
Insert (pocket) replacements drop new windows into existing frames — faster, cleaner, less expensive, and right for most homes where the existing frames are sound.
Full-frame replacements remove everything down to the rough opening. They're necessary when the original frames are rotted or out of square, and they're the only way to inspect and re-flash the rough opening. We'll tell you which one your house needs.
